WHAT ARE MAGNETS?
Magnets are generally metallic or ceramic objects or bodies that have the ability to attract iron and that produce energy in the form of
Magnetic Fields.
A Magnetic Field is the portion of space near a magnetic body in which the energy and force of the body or that energy eminating from the body, can be detected.
A Magnetometer is an instrument used to detect the strength or intensity of a Magnetic Field.
This intensity scale is attributed to Karl Gauss (1824) who discovered how to measure the magnetic flux density of a magnetic field. This unit of measure is called a gauss.
Polarity, a property that all magnets possess, is a term used to describe the power of attraction displayed by magnets which is strongest at opposite ends of each magnet.
These NORTH and SOUTH poles attract one another and, inversely, like poles repel each other.
WHAT DETERMINES MAGNETIC STRENGTH?
As stated, magnetic strength is really the measurement of the intensity of the magnetic field surrounding an object that generates such a field. The strength, intensity and, in some cases, effectiveness is measured in Gauss (G).
For comparison, consider that the magnetic field generated by the Planet Earth, although huge in size, is measured at only 0.5 G. Fridge magnets range from around 30 to 250 G. The energy level of the
NEODYMIUM RARE EARTH magnets that we use in our products
ranges from between 4000 and 6000 G. each.
These magnets are VERY strong compared to others on the market

HOW LONG DO MAGNETS LAST?
Magnets are generally produced by running an electrical current through an iron bearing alloy causing the electrons to allign in a north - south configuration, locking them so as to create a magnetic field with specific direction of energy flow. Simple iron compounds that have been magnetized show a generally weak magnetic field that can be lost by simply jarring them or even dropping them onto a hard surface. These magnets can usually be charged again, but, by their compounds nature, do not generate a strong magnetic field.
New compounds have been shown to hold much stronger charges indefinitely.
The magnets that Believe in Magnets uses and that comprise our products are permanent NEODYMIUM RARE EARTH magnets.
They have received a permanent charge and will not lose that charge or require recharging except under the most extreme conditions. Neodymium magnets should not be heated to over 280 degrees F for that reason.
NEODYMIUM RARE EARTH magnets are made of an
alloy of neodymium, iron and boron.
Each of these substances are naturally occuring elements and when compounded in proper proportions and electrically charged, these magnets can hold a much higher energy charge and radiate a much stronger magnetic field of energy than most other magnets available to the public today.

The answer is yes and no. Can magnets be used to treat pain.?
A resounding YES is the answer.

1. Due to the fact that blood contains iron, the blood itself might act to conduct magnetic field energy potentially increasing circulation. Increased circulation may increase delivery of oxygen and nutrients to specific areas, thus aiding in healing.
2. Magnets and magnetic therapy bracelets or other products may help to restore the proper balance necessary between cells and new cell growth.
3. Magnets may help to increase the temperature of treated areas. Some say this temperature increase possibly expands the blood vessels, allowing greater circulation and the potential for healing.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO USING
MAGNETIC THERAPY BRACELETS?
Potentially, yes. People who use electronic medical devices such as pacemakers, insulin pumps or defibrillators should NOT use magnetic therapy devices.
It is further suggested that pregnant women avoid use because magnetic effects on fetuses are not known.
Do not use magnetic therapy products around computers, monitors or other sensitive electronic equipment. The powerful magnetic field generated may have an unwanted effect . Do not wear these products next to battery operated watches. Magnets may drain the battery prematurely.
Finally, each NEODYMIUM Rare Earth magnet is sintered together under high pressure and they, by the nature of the compound, are very brittle. Continuous rough use may wear or chip off the outer coating or small pieces over time. Such magnets should be discarded and replaced periodically.
Although the occasional dunking will not effect these products, they should be taken off for bathing, swimming, etc. Bracelets may be effected by chloine or sea water. Just use a little common sense in these areas.
WHAT SIZE BRACELET SHOULD I PURCHASE?
Everyone is a little different in this catagory and each individual has a specific comfort zone. NO, NO, NO... WE CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS POINT STRONGLY ENOUGH.
Each bracelet is made of an assembly of anywhere from 45 to ?? individual strong magnets and these pieces may constitute a swallowing or choking hazard.
Really now... don't the kids have enough stuff to play with already?

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE WHILE USING
MY NEODYMIUM MAGNETIC BRACELET?
Be careful around loose clothing, while tucking in your shirt or blouse, reaching for items while wearing long sleeves or jackets and especially when working around steel or iron objects. They will stick to your washer and dryer, to the exterior of your car and to those uncomfortable metal folding chairs they have at events.
Although these magnetic products are among the strongest available, anything catching on the bracelet can have the unwanted effect of unfastening it with the consequence of potential loss.
